Job summary

PIMCO seeks a Performance Operations Associate/Senior Associate to oversee daily performance across hedge funds and other accounts. You will investigate inquiries from internal stakeholders and work with tech teams and vendors to enhance capabilities.

The role requires 2–3 years in fixed income performance management, a finance-related degree, and proficiency in SQL. Located in Austin, TX or Newport Beach, CA with base salary range and discretionary bonus discussed in the posting.

Qualifications

2-3 years of fixed income experience with focus on performance management.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics; CFA/FRM progress preferred.
Understanding of equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies.
Experience in calculating, validating, and interpreting portfolio results, including attribution and benchmark analysis.

Responsibilities

Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor and validate portfolio investment results, including attribution and benchmark analysis.
Ensure the accuracy of performance returns by coordinating with various teams.
Serve as a point of contact for performance-related issues and timely solutions.
Facilitate root cause analysis discussions to prevent future occurrences.
Identify problems and take corrective actions as needed.
Recommend and implement ways to streamline and automate reporting processes.
Document firm processes, performance calculations, and methodologies for internal training.
