Job summary

SCT seeks an experienced Nutritional Performance Specialist to support Army National Guard H2F initiatives in Anchorage, AK. You will lead nutrition policy development, create practical resources, and provide counseling to Soldiers and leaders to enhance physical and cognitive performance.

The role requires a Master’s in Nutrition/Dietetics and 3+ years as an RD, with experience in performance nutrition for military or tactical populations. On-site duties with occasional travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
• A minimum of three (3) years of postgraduate experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD), with a focus on performance nutrition for athletes, tactical populations, or military units.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, adaptation, and implementation of command-specific Performance Nutrition Program policies and curricula.
• Develop practical nutrition resources: fact sheets, fueling strategies, meal planning guides, and Go For Green materials.
• Provide nutrition strategies for weekend unit assemblies and between drill periods.
• Conduct individual and group performance nutrition counseling.
• Support Army Body Composition Program with sustainable weight management guidance.
• Coordinate with H2F team to align nutrition with performance, recovery, cognition, and sleep.
• Mentor H2F-Integrators with advanced training and document quarterly mentorship.
• Maintain knowledge of Army H2F standards and related regulations.
• Maintain professional communication with unit leadership and stakeholders.
