Job summary

Applause is seeking a Motion Designer to craft short-form performance ads for Meta and TikTok, collaborating with the Growth team and owning the creative pitch and execution. You will build hooks, variants and templates, translating briefs into compelling, data-driven content.

You will work with After Effects, Premiere/CapCut, and AI tools to produce engaging UGC-style ads and app UI animations. A portfolio showing multiple variants per concept is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years creating short-form performance ads for a mobile app or DTC brand.
• Portfolio showing multiple variants of one concept with performance rationale.
• Strong in After Effects and Premiere/CapCut.
• Experience using AI video/voice tools and UGC footage.
• Experience with app UI animation and screen-recording ads.

Responsibilities

• Build short-form vertical videos for Meta and TikTok with attention-grabbing hooks and multiple variants.
• Pitch hooks and concepts from competitor/trend research; iterate with data test results.
• Produce short-form videos plus static and carousel variants of the same concepts.
• Develop multiple variants per concept: hooks, formats, lengths.
• Read ad metrics and translate insights into the next round of creative.
• Conduct competitor/trend research (Meta/TikTok Ad Library teardowns) for new hooks.
• Create templates in After Effects and Premiere/CapCut for fast iteration.
• Leverage AI video/voice tools and UGC-style footage as standard workflow.
• Create app UI animation and screen-recording-based ads.
