Job summary

Berklee College of Music seeks a Graduate Assistant for the Performance Library in the Instrumental Studies department. You will lead operations, prepare music for rehearsals, and coordinate student staff to support ensembles and concerts.

You will work 8–10+ hours per week at the Boston Conservatory facilities, with duties including distribution of sheet music, preparing materials, and responding to inquiries from students and faculty.

Qualifications

• Preferred: experience with ensembles at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
• Preferred: interest and knowledge of music performance librarianship.
• Broad knowledge of music, including terms and foreign languages (French, Italian, German).
• Ability to build strong relationships with faculty, conductors, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead library assistant role during select times.
• Process, prepare, and distribute sheet music for large ensembles.
• Assist in cataloging and filing music and maintaining inventory.
• Coordinate student library team and prepare materials for performances.
• Staff library desk and respond to student and faculty requests.
