Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Safety and PI Coordinator to support performance improvement and risk management across a 120-bed behavioral health facility in Scottsdale, AZ. You will assist regulatory data collection, incident reporting, and liaison activities with governing bodies to ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and have 1+ years in quality assurance, safety, or performance improvement within a hospital setting;

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, safety, and reporting/data analysis within a hospital setting.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performance improvement and risk management activities under direction of PI/RM Director.
• Collect data and analysis required by regulatory agencies (TJC, CMS, state and federal) and support corrective actions.
• Investigate and report AHCCCS incidents, accidents, deaths; manage Seclusion and Restraint reports and monthly fall reports.
• Manage process for lost patient belongings and serve as a community liaison to ensure compliance with governing bodies.

The Safety and PI Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the performance improvement/risk management activities at the direction of the PI/RM Director. This position assists in meeting the requirements of all regulatory agencies, TJC, CMS and state and federal agencies, including collecting data as required by each agency and for any corrective actions. This includes collecting data and analysis as required by TJC, investigating and reporting AHCCCS Incident, Accident, Death reports, Seclusion and Restraint reports to contractors, monthly fall reports, and managing the process for lost patient belongings. This role will also be the community liaison ensuring compliance and strong relations with all governing bodies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.

Experience: 1+ years experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, safety, and reporting/data analysis within a hospital setting. Experience with TJC, CMS and state/federal governing agencies.

Additional Requirements: Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
