Bank of America is seeking an experienced Performance Testing professional to design, execute, and optimize load tests for complex banking applications. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and production readiness of critical systems.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in Performance Testing or related technology discipline.
  • Hands-on experience using LoadRunner, including VuGen script development, test execution, workload modeling, and results analysis.

  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts and workloads using LoadRunner/VuGen.
  • Perform load, stress, endurance, volume, and capacity testing for banking applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Analyze performance results to identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, infrastructure, and network layers.

LOB Description

Individual will provide performance testing capabilities for complex applications. He/she will work with stakeholders on a daily basis to design test cases, create performance test scripts and execute performance scenarios. Works under the direction and with a Performance Lead. Writes technical performance test plans. Requires specialized Python programming skills. Develops data driven load test scripts using Citrix Protocol. Uses Load Runner (or JMeter) to design and execute load and performance tests. Lead the data creation activities for the required load tests. Designs and executes different types of load tests (load, failover, aging etc). Works closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure and production support groups for defect triage and production planning. Reports findings according to a defined process, such as sending an email. Participate in project/team meetings and actively contribute.

Job Description

This job is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and functions for the assigned team. Key responsibilities include delegating work to team members, supervising work processes, providing informal leadership of sub teams or technology silos, managing on call and support schedules, and providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members. Responsibilities
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks and assignments for the team including tracking tasks and tickets in system(s) of record, ensuring enterprise service level agreements are met, and participating in defect, incident, problem, and change review meetings and release activities
  • Provides point of escalation for team members, peers, and partner teams, and shares the leadership Point of Contact for triage of high priority incidents or consulting engagements
  • Performs all responsibilities of team members from applicable teams

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze application and infrastructure metrics including CPU, memory, disk, network, JVM, and database performance.
  • Understanding of end-to-end application performance concepts and common performance bottlenecks across web, application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues within performance test environments, scripts, monitoring tools, and application components.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with development, QA, infrastructure, architecture, and business teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience working in large enterprise or financial services environments.
