Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Performance Engineer to oversee performance, reliability, and optimization for a fleet of two fossil power plants in the PJM region. You will monitor, analyze, and improve performance, reliability, availability, and operational risk using performance engineering, reliability engineering, predictive analytics, and condition monitoring techniques.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' experience in power generation or industrial plant processes.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools: GADS, OSI PI, EtaPRO.
• Experience with plant performance analysis (turbines or plant systems) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate plant performance issues, risks, and root cause analysis.
• Familiar with analytical tools: Tableau, Power BI.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% annually.

Role Overview:

The Performance Engineer will be responsible for performance, reliability, and optimization of a fleet of two fossil power plants in the PJM region. The position is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and improving performance, reliability, availability and operational risk through the application of performance engineering, reliability engineering, predictive analytics and condition monitoring techniques.

The Performance Engineer will identify and develop tools used to analyze operating asset performance, conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements, support root cause investigations, and develop recommendations to optimize plant operations, maintenance strategies and lifecycle asset management.
