Power By the Hour Performance is seeking an Engine Swap & Performance Parts Specialist to help enthusiasts select the right parts for Ford engine swap projects and related performance builds. You'll advise customers, diagnose issues, and assemble complete parts packages while building lasting relationships with weekend builders and resto-mod shops in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have automotive parts knowledge and performance applications (≤140 chars).
• Hands-on engines and swaps experience (≤140 chars).
• Ability to diagnose automotive problems and propose solutions (≤140 chars).
• Experience with aftermarket parts, performance builds, or repair (≤140 chars).
• Excellent communication and customer service (≤140 chars).
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers (≤140 chars).
• Strong attention to detail for part compatibility (≤140 chars).
• Positive, professional attitude; team player (≤140 chars).
• Self-motivated, able to work independently (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Advise and sell automotive performance and engine swap parts to retail, builder and wholesale customers.
• Specialize in Ford engine swap applications, including 5.0L, 5.2L, 7.3L and related applications.
• Help customers diagnose problems and determine needed parts or solutions.
• Assist with engine swap compatibility, installation, wiring, and related systems.
• Recommend parts based on vehicle, engine, transmission, and use.
• Troubleshoot issues before and during installation.
• Answer questions by phone, email, online, and in person.
• Build complete parts packages rather than individual components.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and shops.
• Follow up to ensure projects progress.
• Stay current on new products and engine technology.
• Maintain accurate product knowledge and keep the sales area organized.
