Job summary

Nanny Poppins Agency in Norwalk, CT seeks an experienced live-out nanny for an 8-week-old infant. The role covers 6–7 scheduled 24-hour shifts per month, with dates provided in advance. The baby attends daycare 8:00 AM–1:00 PM; nanny will handle drop-off and pickup during shifts.

The ideal candidate has extensive infant experience, can manage newborn needs, and be available for continuous coverage during each scheduled shift. Overnight rest periods will be discussed with the family.

Qualifications

• Experience with infants and newborns.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Vaccinations (COVID-19, Tdap, flu) and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving and developmentally appropriate care for the infant.
• Manage all aspects of newborn care, including feeding, diaper changes, bathing and soothing.
• Follow the family’s routines and instructions.
• Track the infant’s feeding, sleep and developmental progress.
• Keep the nursery and baby supplies clean and organized.
• Support safe sleep practices and maintain a safe environment.
• Drive the baby to and from daycare in your own vehicle.
• Communicate regularly with the parent about daily routines.

Compensation: $30–$35/hour
Schedule: 6–7 shifts per month, 24 hours per shift, including overnight care. Dates are provided in advance.
Guaranteed Hours: 6–7 scheduled 24-hour shifts per month

A family is looking for an experienced, nurturing and dependable live-out nanny to care for their 8-week-old infant. The position covers 6–7 scheduled 24-hour shifts per month, with dates provided in advance. The baby attends daycare from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the nanny will handle drop-off and pick-up during shifts, a short 9-minute drive.

The ideal candidate has extensive infant experience and is confident handling a newborn’s needs, including feeding, diapering, soothing, building healthy sleep routines and watching developmental milestones. The nanny must be available for continuous coverage during each scheduled shift. Overnight rest periods will be discussed with the family.

Requirements:

• Prior professional infant and newborn experience
• Knowledge of newborn care, feeding and safe sleep practices
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• COVID-1-9, Tdap and flu vaccinations
• Valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle
• Live within the tri-state area
• Able to commit to 6–7 scheduled 24-hour shifts per month for at least one year
• Reliable, organized, attentive and comfortable working independently
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references, including previous infant-care positions
