Job summary

Mach Industries, a defense tech company in San Francisco, is seeking a Perception Engineer to advance their AI-forward autonomy stack. You will design, train, and deploy state-of-the-art perception algorithms across vision, multi-sensor data, and embedded platforms for real-world deployment.

Work across deep learning, computer vision, and hardware integration to deliver robust, real-time inference on Jetson-class devices and field-tested datasets.

Qualifications

• Proven production experience with C++ on Linux and Python for ML tooling.
• Deep learning / computer vision model development ( Retina/FCOS/DETR/Mask2D/Video models ).
• Experience building large, diverse datasets and reproducible training pipelines.
• Hands-on with model compression (INT8/FP16) and real-time inference.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy vision and multi-sensor perception systems for autonomous platforms.
• Develop training/eval pipelines and regression testing loops.
• Optimize models for real-time embedded inference on Jetson-class hardware.
