Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a senior leader to build and lead the perception AI team that enables autonomous spacecraft operations in complex operational environments. Your team will develop world models and generative AI for synthetic training data, multi-target tracking, and edge-deployed on-orbit systems.

You will grow the team across five streams, define validation standards bridging synthetic data, simulation, and flight-acceptance, and deliver perception AI systems that operate under spacecraft

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or PhD) in CS/Robotics/EE/Aerospace or related field.
• 8+ years in computer vision, robotics, autonomous systems, or perception AI engineering.
• 4–5 years leading teams of 4+ engineers.
• Proven ability to lead across autonomy, flight software, hardware and simulation.
• U.S. citizen eligible for government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction on world model architectures for photorealistic synthetic video generation and perception AI systems.
• Review and approve designs for generative AI systems, multi-target tracking, sensor fusion, and model compression.
• Lead by example across design, implementation, and verification (≈50% of time).
• Define perception AI standards and hardware-in-the-loop testing protocols.
• Drive decisions on physics-based simulation versus generative AI for synthetic data.
• Maintain credibility in generative AI, CV, state estimation, and edge deployment.
