Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking a PERA Analyst in the Finance & Admin Services department to analyze, maintain and coordinate Central Payroll files and activities related to PERA and Retiree Health for all City employees.

The role serves as a resource for Central Payroll staff, timekeepers and departmental staff, performing detailed research, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate PERA wage and contribution reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years accounting or direct payroll experience.
• Experience with payroll systems comparable to the City of Albuquerque's system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit, maintain and update PERA records.
• Biweekly balancing of PERA and Retiree Healthcare wages.
• Monitor contracts, city policies and PERA legislation.
• Process retroactive pay changes and related calculations.
• Respond to PERA and staff inquiries with data requests.
