Qualifications

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold a Florida General Radiographer license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• One year of radiology clinical experience in a radiology department setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination, e.g.: positions, and executes radiologic examinations; assists radiologist/physician in patient care during procedures.
• Reviews patient medical records to verify physician's order prior to examination.
• Cross trains in other specialty areas/departments when workload demands.
• Inspects films for quality and ensures proper patient name, date and medical record number before interpretation.
