Job summary

Summit Health is seeking an X-Ray Technologist in New Jersey to produce high-quality radiographs per CityMD X-ray protocols and DOH compliance. You will document studies, support communication between providers and radiologists, and maintain QC logs.

The role requires coordinating with clinical staff and ensuring ALARA safety practices while supporting patient flow and care. The ideal candidate will be able to perform chest, extremity, spinal and abdominal X-rays, troubleshoot equipment, and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited X-Ray Technologist program.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures to patients.
• Ability to perform basic X-rays of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle.
• Position patients and set exposure factors.
• ALARA radiation safety principles awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform common X-ray studies: Chest, Extremity, Spinal and Abdomen.
• Document studies and communicate with Provider and Radiologist using internal systems.
• Maintain QC logs including pregnancy consent and daily checklists.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software with Site Manager.
• Assist with patient flow and EMR vitals documentation.
• Assist with CLIA waived tests, EKGs, splints, slings, crutches.
• Maintain site cleanliness of rooms and areas.
• Enhance patient care and safety culture.
