Spire Orthopedic Partners is hiring a Per Diem X-Ray Technologist for the North Chelmsford, MA location. The role involves acquiring radiographic images, preparing patients, and minimizing radiation exposure during procedures.

Requirements include ARRT certification and Massachusetts license, with the ability to work calmly under stress and maintain professionalism with patients and staff. Work hours are 7:30am–4:30pm, with some travel between company locations.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification and registration
• Massachusetts State License
• Ability to react calmly and effectively under stress
• Maintains professional relationships with patients and staff

Responsibilities

• Acquires digital radiographic images as ordered by clinicians using x-ray machines
• Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient and adjusting equipment
• Minimizes radiation exposure through proper shielding and exposure factors
• Acquires C-Arm films for epidural steroid injections
• Enters orders into the practice management system
• Reviews for proper patient identification and quality
• Prepares digital images for physician reading
• Transports patients to exam room after procedures
• Uploads images to patient chart as needed
• Burns CDs as requested by patients after release
• Files films, discs and records as needed
• Maintains a clean workstation and sanitizes between patients
