Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Per Diem-X-Ray Technologist at the Manhattan Langone Orthopedic Center. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following departmental protocols to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

The role requires accurate patient positioning, selection of technical factors, and strict adherence to ALARA and HIPAA guidelines while collaborating with care teams to support timely imaging across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License.
• New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of NYS License.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently per protocols and orders.
• Position patients and imaging equipment to obtain optimal images with minimal radiation.
• Select and adjust technical factors to ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Transmit images/reports to PACS/EMR and verify patient data in HIS/RIS.
• Maintain equipment QC and follow safety/policy guidelines.
