Job summary

Mount Auburn Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Wound Ostomy RN for a per diem day position in Cambridge, MA. Responsibilities include comprehensive wound/ostomy care, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve skin integrity and outcomes.

Requirements include MA RN license, ADN with experience, and WOCN certification. BSN preferred with minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license is required.
• ADN with relevant experience is required; BSN preferred.
• WOCN certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; wound/ostomy experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teaching abilities.
• Experience with computer systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of wounds, ostomies, fistulas, drains, and skin integrity.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with physicians and team.
• Provide direct patient care including advanced wound treatments and ostomy education.
• Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy management.
• Consult with nursing staff on wound/ostomy best practices.
• Participate in quality improvement and protocol development.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in EMR.
• Support hospital initiatives to reduce pressure injuries.
