Per Diem/Weekends
Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN)

Must be able to cover Greater Los Angeles areas.

Hourly Rate $35.00 - $38.00, plus mileage reimbursement

POSITION SUMMARY

The Per Diem/Weekend LVN position offers an opportunity for the LVN to work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provide skilled nursing and palliative care to patients at their place of residence. The LVN works cooperatively with other Interdisciplinary Team members and provides intermittent visits or shifts of skilled nursing care, including pain management/symptom control and nursing observations. The LVN provides information about the expected course of illness, care techniques, and other health measures to patients, family members, or primary caregivers. The LVN participates in the care plan development and implementation. Must be able to utilize computers and be comfortable with electronic medical records.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
  • Current LVN license within the State of California. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing encouraged.
  • At least one year of LVN experience.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, reliable and well-maintained transportation.
  • Spanish speaking a plus, but not required.
