Job summary

University of California, Davis is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a part-time per diem role in the VMTH Pharmacy. The incumbent will dispense to both inpatient and outpatient animal patients, supervise pharmacy technicians, review their work, and provide drug information on an on-call basis.

This position emphasizes professional judgement and safe, compliant dispensing practices. The role operates on an on-site basis with shift coverage during Monday–Friday and select Saturdays, and includes

Qualifications

• Must have California Pharmacist License and be licensed at time of hire.
• Experience interpreting clinician orders to dispense pharmaceuticals to animal patients.
• Experience with controlled substance record keeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications as assigned (55%).
• Provide technician oversight (20%).
• Exercise professional judgement (15%).
