Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Per Diem Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join the North Harlem and River North sites. The APP will deliver high-quality acute and routine care in a fast-paced urgent care clinic, collaborating with a 5-APP team at North & Harlem and 3 APPs at River North.

The position emphasizes flexible shifts (per diem) with competitive hourly pay and strong opportunities for professional growth within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Masters of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty.
• Current certification by ANCC or AANP.
• Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license.
• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center clinical privileges.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Excellent communicator
• Experience treating patients of all ages
• Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality acute and/or routine medical care within the urgent care setting.
• Collaborate with a team of APPs and physicians to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Perform procedures and manage common urgent care conditions.
• Document and coordinate care with Rush University Medical Center records.
