Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL is recruiting for a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) to join the Emergency Department on a rotating schedule including nights and weekends. The role involves autonomous and collaborative patient care with a focus on emergency procedures, laceration repair, and acute care for Rush patients.

The APP/PA will hold Illinois licensure, BLS/ACLS, and appropriate national certification.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois RN and APRN licensure required.
• Master's or Doctorate in nursing required (APRN/PA).
• Nurse Practitioner certification or NCCPA certification required for PA.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performance of History and Physical, patient care orders, and prescribing controlled substances.
• Fracture/Dislocation reduction and immobilization.
• Laceration repair and related procedures listed in the scope of practice.
