Job summary

Massena Hospital in Massena, NY, seeks a Per Diem Ultrasonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and assist in daily ultrasound department operations. You will coordinate the daily schedule, assist RNs and physicians during interventional procedures, and ensure proper labeling and processing of studies.

The role requires graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program or a related 2-year allied health program with ultrasound experience; ARDMS/ARRT certifications should be obtained

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program.
• OR graduate of a two-year allied health education program with ultrasound experience.
• Must obtain ARDMS/CCI/ARRT certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures per physician orders.
• Assists physician during ultrasound procedures.
• Lifts and positions patients; labels and processes studies.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and coordinates daily schedule.
• Maintains equipment and ensures supplies in ultrasound unit.
