Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registered or registry eligible to take the ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment in various modes.
• Operates ultrasound equipment to produce quality images and records pertinent data.
• Provides training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.
• Schedules exams and selects patient information in HIS/RIS per HIPAA regulations.
• Follows departmental protocols and ensures correct orders and procedures are followed.
• Directs and monitors student clinical training and progress.
