Job summary

The role includes supervising ultrasound students and coordinating with physicians for accurate interpretations. The position requires a two-year ultrasound program and active registration as a Diagnostic Sonographer or Vascular Technologist.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma from an accredited two-year ultrasound program.
• Registered Diagnostic Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist.
• Ability to operate sonographic equipment.
• Ability to evaluate sonograms to obtain diagnostic information.
• Ability to follow departmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates Ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images as ordered.
• Produces diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Instructs and supervises ultrasound students in clinical practicum.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during exams.
• Ensures timely completion of exams and accurate exam coding.
