Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Per Diem) for Melrose Wakefield. The technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams using high-frequency sound waves under the instruction of physicians and/or radiologists.

This role demands a high degree of technical knowledge in ultrasonography and anatomy. Ideal candidates should have an associate's degree in Ultrasound and a certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Compensation ranges from $42.00 to $53.45 per hour depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two year certificate program in Ultrasound.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound exams under physician direction.
• Operates equipment and records examinations accurately.
• Assists radiologists in interpretation of ultrasound films.
