Job summary

Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology team. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under a Radiologist, producing high-quality images to aid in diagnosis and patient care in a collaborative hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with ARDMS certification and current BLS.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Current ARDMS certification (or registry eligible).
Current BLS certification required.
Previous hospital ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort and safety.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic images with accurate measurements and annotations for radiologist interpretation.
Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures as appropriate.
Maintain and disinfect ultrasound equipment according to hospital policies and infection prevention standards.
Accurately document examinations within the EMR and PACS systems.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to provide coordinated patient care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital and safety standards.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional competency.
