Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Nashville West is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient vitals, manage EKG equipment and respond to alarms during 12-hour shifts on a per diem basis in Nashville, TN.

The role emphasizes accurate rhythm interpretation, collaboration with RN staff, and ensuring timely interventions. A high school diploma and EKG training are preferred; completion of required EKG class within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Competencies on education platform must be demonstrated.
• Pass required tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient alarms continuously and respond promptly.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT intervals.
• Verify strip interpretations with RN.
• Maintain accurate monitoring and alarm management.
