Job summary

HealthPartners in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team in a Level I Trauma Center. You will scrub and support the circulating team, prepare the O.R. suite, gather equipment, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

New grads are welcome. This per diem role requires flexible scheduling across day, evening, and occasional overnight shifts, with hours if assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technologist training program.
• Completion of NBSTSA or NCCT certification within 12 months of hire date. Certification to be maintained during length of employment.
• CPR certification required at time of employment and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist Circulator with preparation of the O.R. suite by reviewing the preference card for supplies.
• Assist with gathering of equipment and instrumentation; prepare drugs under supervision of RN Circulator.
• Set up sterile instruments, suture and all sterile supplies; maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Anticipate and communicate the surgeon's needs and have instruments and supplies readily available.
