Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program.
• Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences required.
• 0–2 years of OR surgical technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the operating room for surgical cases with proper asepsis.
• Assists the surgical team by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
• Handles instruments, ensures sterilization, inspection, and assembly.
• Performs counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfers.
• Updates physician preference cards and restocks supplies.
• Cleans, reprocesses, and sterilizes instruments following protocols.
• Restocks rooms and ensures OR readiness for next cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
