Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners in Phoenix is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to support multiple outpatient surgical centers in the Phoenix area. You will scrub, pass instruments, and assist with aseptic technique during procedures, with a focus on delivering sterile instruments and supplies efficiently.

The role requires travel between facilities, a minimum commitment of 4 shifts per month, and no weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required; state regulatory registration where applicable.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 75 pounds and maintain composure under stress.
• Demonstrates manual dexterity and attention to detail in a fast-paced OR.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures; pulls instruments and supplies.
• Anticipates surgeon's needs; passes instruments and retracts tissue.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout procedures.
• Disposes of sharps and trash; counts instruments and sponges.
• Assists with OR turnover; stocks and cleans operating rooms.
• May provide administrative support to the department.
