Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Per Diem Summer Building Nurse for the Cambridge Public Schools. The nurse will provide coverage for students in onsite summer programs and will manage medication and first aid for up to 200 students. Candidates must be a licensed nurse with experience in nursing and preferably with youth in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse, Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.
• Must have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in nursing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Summer Program Site Coordinators on maintaining up‑to‑date student health information.
• Oversee and administer medication; maintain per student medical records.
• Respond appropriately to health emergencies and offer First Aid.
• Assess the social and emotional climate for the students.
• Help establish a positive school culture where every child feels safe.
