LearnWell is seeking a passionate substitute teacher to support behavioral health students in Central Connecticut on a per‑diem basis for the school year.

You will plan daily lessons, provide individualized support, track attendance and progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support student success in a small classroom setting.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a B.A./B.S. degree and CT State teaching license.
• Ability to work with K-12 students in a behavioral health setting.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative substitute teacher to join our team inthe Central Connecticut State area on a per-diem basis to help with class coverages for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support tochild and adolescentschool-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
