Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks an Associate Therapist to provide patient screening, orientation, case management and basic crisis response within the Chemical Dependency program at Evelyn Brandon Health Center.

The Associate Addiction Therapist may perform intake, group facilitation, referrals, care coordination, and record keeping under OASAS scope; MS degree required. This per diem day-shift role is located in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• MS (Required).
• High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screening of clients presenting for admission to substance use disorder programs.
• Intake and orientation
• Case management, referrals, care coordination and connection to community providers and services
• Provides basic crisis responses and client support pre and post admission
• Group facilitation as permitted under OASAS Scope of Practice supervision and oversight
• Provides psychiatric and addiction education
• Responsible for reporting and record keeping for programs and outside stakeholders (OASAS, legal, county, grants etc.)
• Makes collateral calls, obtaining consents
• Engaging clients during intake and pre-admission via telephonic, video and in person methods.
• Preparing and obtaining toxicology screens (observing)
• Participates as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care.
