Prime Healthcare at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Student Respiratory Therapist for per diem shifts. The Student RT works under direct supervision to learn and assist with a range of respiratory care procedures during clinical rotations.

Responsibilities include administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, ABG sampling, monitoring ventilator settings, and assisting with intubation and suctioning as directed by a supervising RT.

Formación

• Must be approved by State Respiratory Therapy board to work as a Student Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• At the minimum, the student must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory program and completed first semester of clinical rotations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must remain eligible for an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Responsabilidades

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy or related tasks.
• Monitor respiratory rates and oxygen levels (pulse oximetry).
• Assist in drawing and analyzing ABG samples.
• Observe and adjust ventilator settings under supervision.
• Assist with intubation and suctioning as directed.

Current BLS (AHA) certification

Enrolled in accredited respiratory pro

High school diploma
