Job summary

The Brooklyn Hospital Center's Endoscopy Unit seeks a Per Diem Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care across all ages. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include NYS RN license, BCLS, BSN preferred, and 1 year acute care experience is highly preferred. Strong communication and computer skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• New graduates accepted.
• One year of acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care.
• Formulate nursing diagnoses and deliver teaching and counseling to patients and families.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel while supervising care.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• New graduates accepted
