Job summary

NYC Health and Hospitals in Harlem is seeking a Staff Nurse - Endoscopy to deliver professional nursing care in the Endoscopy unit. The role supports diagnosis and treatment through standard nursing practices and collaborates with the care team.

You will monitor patients, develop and adjust care plans, document progress, and participate in interdisciplinary conferences. The schedule is full-time day shift (11:00 A.M. – 7:30 P.M.) with comprehensive benefits in a major New York healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in New York State.
• Experience with Endoscopy nursing is preferred.

About This Role

The Staff Nurse - Endoscopy position involves providing professional nursing care to patients within the Endoscopy unit. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in diagnosing and treating health problems through various nursing methods.

What You'll Do

• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes on patients/clients.
• Interpret and report responses of patients/clients to appropriate members of the health team.
• Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan a comprehensive patient care program.
• Determine and assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
• Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
• Participate in defining, implementing, maintaining, and interpreting standards of nursing practice.
• Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary conferences regarding nursing practice policies.
• Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and learning experiences.

Requirements

• Experience: Up to 10 years of nursing experience as a Staff Nurse preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State required.

Additional Compensation

• Annual education differential for degrees in nursing or allied health disciplines.
• Annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 for recognized certifications.
• Annual nursing experience differential ranging from $987 up to $8,190 for outside nursing experience.
