Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a Speech Therapist on a per diem basis to evaluate and treat patients referred for speech and language pathology. The role focuses on restoring function and helping patients return to normal living with appropriate supports and therapies.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering therapy, collaborating with physicians and staff, and participating in departmental CQI and infection control activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred for speech/language pathology to determine problems and goals.
• Assess patient pain interfering with functional level and coordinate physician intervention as needed.
• Provide comprehensive patient care in a setting that emphasizes safety and error reduction.
• Develop and teach plans based on identified learning needs, including family involvement.
