Job summary

Allegiance Home Health is seeking a Per Diem Speech Therapist to deliver evaluation, treatment, and ongoing therapy in patients' homes across the Florida service area. You will assess communication and swallowing disorders, develop individualized plans, and document progress for each patient.

Collaborating with physicians and nurses, you will stay current with best practices and regulatory standards while maintaining flexible scheduling to meet patient needs in a home health setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapy services to patients in their homes using evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients and families on speech and language disorders and plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, and progress notes per regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
