Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Tallahassee is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients in a per diem role at our Tallahassee, FL facility. The position offers compensation of $45.00 per hour and a comprehensive orientation for a smooth transition into the team.

The role requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and BLS (or completion within 90 days). A CCC from ASHA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• CCC preferred from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and swallowing function and develop goal-oriented treatment to maximize communication and swallowing potential.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to monitor the quality of Rehab Therapy services.
• Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
• Assist in developing the SLP role in programs and services, including updating departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
