Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to provide services under supervision and support the Department Head with related duties. The role involves developing treatment plans, conducting group and individual therapy, documenting treatments, and coordinating with family and care teams to optimize communication outcomes.

Certification and licensure are required.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP and NY State licensure required.
• BLS or CPR certification required on entry.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develops and evaluates speech-language treatment plans based on evaluation results and goals.
• Conducts group and individual therapy sessions and educates caregivers.
• Documents treatments and keeps patient information confidential per policy.
• Interprets assessment findings to patient and family, guides access to SLP services.
• Assesses and screens patients, assigns FIM and tracks recovery.
• Maintains proficiency and collaborates with rehabilitation team.
