Job summary

Select Medical's Mt. Clemens hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for per diem assignments. The role provides evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders, with a focus on patient-centered care in a post-ICU recovery setting.

The SLP will perform comprehensive assessments, develop goal-oriented plans, collaborate with rehab staff, and contribute to maintaining supply levels and program quality. Per diem schedule and opportunities for advancement exist.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: CCC-SLP from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluation of communication and swallowing functions.
• Provide goal-oriented treatment to maximize communication and swallowing potential.
• Collaborate with rehab staff to ensure quality interdisciplinary care.
• Monitor service quality and participate in departmental policy development.
