Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and related disorders.

Position requires a Master’s in Speech Therapy and state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist, with CCC‑SLP/CCC‑A credentials preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, education of patients and families, and collaboration with the care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required.
• State license for Speech-language Pathologist (SLP) required or HR-Only.
• CCC-SLP and/or CCC-A credentials preferred.
• 0–1 year experience in acute hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech-language pathology.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
