Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under the direction of a physician and an interdisciplinary group to assist in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health status and in development of coping mechanisms.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a valid driver’s license, and licensure as a Social Worker in KY; CPR certification is preferred and 1+ year of health care social work

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Current driver's license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Licensed Social Worker in KY (state requirement).
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ year of social work experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical social services under physician direction and Interdisciplinary Group to address social and emotional factors affecting health status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop coping strategies for patients and families.
