Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under physician direction and an interdisciplinary team, helping patients and families cope with health-related social factors.

Required qualifications include a Master’s in Social Work, a valid driver’s license, and access to reliable transportation. Preferred candidates have 1+ years of health care social work experience and CPR certification, withSW licensure in their state of residence.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work
• Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
• Preferred: 1+ years of social work experience in a health care setting
• Preferred: Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Licensed Social Worker in the state of residence

Responsibilities

• Provide medical social services under the direction of a physician and Interdisciplinary Group to assist in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health status and in development of coping mechanisms
