Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations, operate ultrasound equipment, and provide guidance to students. The role involves evaluating anatomical, pathological, and functional data, ensuring quality images, and adhering to departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using various modes and techniques.
2. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce quality images and record pertinent data.
3. Provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.
4. Follow departmental protocols and ensure patient safety and comfort.
5. Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, report malfunctions.
6. Collaborate with medical staff to clarify exam requirements and patient information.
7. Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology program. Registered or eligible to take ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire.

Licenses and Certifications

• Required: Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Preferred: Nuchal Translucency Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Vascular Technologist certification.
