Job summary

University of California, Irvine seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to perform anesthesia care under the direction of an anesthesiologist across multiple ORs and specialties, including OB. Shifts may include 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, 9:00 AM–9:30 PM, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, including weekends and holidays.

Worksites will be on the Orange and Irvine campuses. Responsibilities include pre‑operative assessment, recording anesthesia care, intra‑operative monitoring, and post‑operative emergence.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and nursing is required.
• CA RN license and CA CRNA license are required.
• NBCRNA, ACLS and AANA certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe anesthesia care under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist.
• Perform pre-operative assessment and write pre-op orders.
• Administer anesthetic and manage intra-operative monitoring and emergence.
