Job summary
Assabet Valley Collaborative is seeking Per Diem Registered Nurses to provide nursing coverage across three special education programs in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts. Work with students with complex medical needs on seven-hour school days.
You will administer medications, implement health care plans, support field trips and staff collaboration, and maintain nursing documentation. Massachusetts RN license required; LPN may suffice with RN support.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN license; LPN may suffice with RN team support.
- Experience with pediatrics or school-based health care is helpful.
- Strong communication and follow-through with families and staff.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions.
- Implement student health care plans and medical protocols.
- Provide seizure management and emergency response.
- Support tube feeding and other complex health needs.
- Monitor illnesses and injuries, and respond to changes in health.
- Communicate with families, medical providers, and teachers.
- Train staff on health plans and safety procedures.
- Maintain nursing documentation and records.
- Collaborate with AVC's nursing team and multidisciplinary staff.
