Expatiate Communications in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Per‑Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school‑based therapy to K‑12 students with special needs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role offers flexible per-diem hours and meaningful impact.

This role involves implementing therapy activities, training staff and families, documenting progress for IEPs, and collaborating in IEP meetings to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active COTA license and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Ability to pass Live Scan background screening and TB clearance.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy activities for students with sensory processing and motor skills.
• Train school staff and parents to integrate therapy goals into routines.
• Document progress for IEP reports with detailed therapy session records.
