Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL with School Bus Endorsement and NYS driver's license.
• 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record.
• PPD test must be completed within 1 year before start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport children safely and verify all are buckled before departure.
• Operate vehicle according to license restrictions and road laws.
• Maintain accurate child roster and attendance; check for items left behind.
• Handle in-vehicle discipline safely and stop in a safe place if needed.
• Assist boarding/alighting and avoid backing up whenever possible; no use of cell phones while driving.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance with Center Director and adhere to policies.
