Job summary

Effective School Solutions (ESS) is seeking a per diem Licensed School-Based Mental Health Clinician to travel to Long Island, NY area schools and provide school-based mental health services.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Social Work or related field, an active state license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT), and experience with children/adolescents. Per diem roles offer flexible scheduling with a $300 daily rate, no benefits, and variable weekly commitments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active clinical license in the state of service (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Experience with children/adolescents with behavioral and emotional needs is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services (individual, group, family therapy) and assessments.
• Partner with families and facilitate parent support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate referrals to higher levels of care.
• Develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans for student success.
• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations for the school-based program.
